Intro to Facebook Affiliate Marketing

These days, most affiliate marketers are aware of the enormous impact social networking can have on their business. But they don’t really understand how to use it to their greatest benefit. They might occasionally post about their business but, too often, their posts are either inappropriate for a business and look spammy or they put up content that is unrelated to their products or services. Sometimes they use bad social media etiquette such as posting their links on other peoples’ pages or even spamming their family and friends. None of these practices are helpful and will probably hurt your business.

Instead, there are a number of ways to do affiliate marketing on Facebook properly and, best of all, you can make a lot of money doing it. The amount of traffic you can get on Facebook is phenomenal and you can cash in if you know how to find your target audience.

One of the best ways to make more money on Facebook is to create fan pages. It’s easy to create a fan page which can be targeted to your particularly niche. Then, once your page is created, build a list of followers through frequent interaction, tips and tricks, and links to products they might like to buy.

Instead of a fan page, you could also build a group on Facebook. In most cases, you will want to use a group if you are planning to be a leader in specific niche. Then, people with similar interests can sign up to follow you.

For example, you might want to start a group for people who love reading fantasy fiction. You can then give tips for finding the best authors, author interviews and book reviews with affiliate links to the books.

When you create a group, you can choose whether to make it public or private. With a private group, you will send invitations and approve members. This approach is good if you are trying to get names and email addresses for a marketing list and you want to offer membership in the group as a bonus for signing up.

A third way to successful Facebook affiliate marketing is to advertise directly on Facebook. Just be sure you learn how to use it before spending a lot of money. Then, once you’ve learned as much as possible, invest a small amount of money with the expectation you might lose it all.

Facebook is a marketing channel that didn’t even exist a few years ago and now it is a major source of profits for affiliate marketers. Use the three methods to succeed at Facebook affiliate marketing.
